The Vegas of Asia

I went to Macau for two days with some relatives. I remember the last time I went there I only saw the older more cultural (I guess) side of it. I remember small narrow streets, European buildings and lots of good food like king crab congee and Portuguese egg tarts. This time, I saw the other side. While I knew Macau is famous for its casinos, I didn’t think it would actually be another Vegas. The Wynn, MGM, Venetian, what have you is all there. Its crazy. I’m not exactly a fan of big cities which is why I loved Macau when I went last time because all I saw was the little nooks and crannies. Nonetheless, I still like Macau but perhaps I’ll avoid the casinos next time I go. That and I got food poisoning there so it has given me a bad impression. I didn’t even get to eat any egg tarts. Big bag of fart nuggets.
